About Us!

This Committee was formed in 2024 to provide wildfire education and help coordinate fire mitigation resources for our community. Our number one priority is keeping our neighbors, guests, and firefighters safe in the event of a wildland fire!

Fire mitigation is a way to minimize the risks to our homes, but it really affects all of us, especially through insurance premiums!

In the last five years the average premium in the state has gone up 65 percent according to the National Association of Insurance Commissioners. Colorado is now one of the top ten most expensive states in the country for homeowners insurance.  This is a result of more frequent and damaging weather and wildfires are at the top of the list!
